A small treat. A delicious nibble, call it what you fancy. Everyone loves a biccie with their tea or coffee. A nibble or a complete dunk, I will let you be the judge of that one!!

These morsels of loveliness are so quick and simple to make, great fun to prepare with the children, a family rainy day activity.

                                                      225g softened butter
110g caster sugar
225g plain flour
50g ground almonds
1 tsp ndali vanilla
zest of a lemon
half the juice of a lemon

100g Dark Chocolate, melted

Preheat the oven to 170C.
Prepare 2 baking sheets with grease proof paper.

1. In a large bowl add the butter, sugar, zest, lemon juice and vanilla. Stir,
2. Tumble in the flour and almonds, start mixing with your hands to form a dough.
3. Roll out each biscuit to the size of a walnut.
4. Place on the trays, then with a fork, press down to flatten the biscuit slightly. Bake for about 15 minutes.

Apologies, as I have no photo for these biscuits, I simply forgot to take a picture!!

Once cooled, dip into the melted chocolate and leave to set on parchment or grease proof paper.

Enjoy.
