Here I am , my first ‘Silver Spoon’ recipe, page 195. I’m sure you have all made pate before, and if so you will know how easy it is to make. Pate can be made with so many varied ingredients, from chicken and calf livers to salmon and not forgetting a simple vegetable pate too.
This tuna and anchovy pate took me the whole of 5 minutes to make. This would make a wonderful starter, spread over some crusty bread with some fresh rocket leaves.
In a blender I add the tuna and anchovy fillets, and softened some butter in a separate bowl. Spoon in the blended tuna and anchovy paste and mix. Then season with salt and pepper and add in the lemon juice and stir. Wonderful fresh aroma, and very much store cupboard ingredients.
Pop the pate into a greased bowl and this will keep in the fridge for around 2-3 days.
