I have just spent a wonderful day with my very special mum at the Birmingham NEC ‘Good Food’ and ‘Gardeners World’ show. Every year and for the last 10 years I have always gone along (with mum and auntie) to the winter Good Food show, so for me a summer show was a pleasant change. The sun was shining (well sort of) and we did not have to rug up as we do for the November show. We arrived promptly about 9.30am, had a coffee and then went off to explore. Now just so you can picture me. I had my camera round my neck, hand bag on my shoulder and I was pulling my very posh (not) good food trolley. As the show got busier through the day I could hear people cursing me and my lovely trolley!!

There were a vast number of stall holders selling, breads, cakes, flavoured oils, cupcake accessories, pottery, giant elephant garlic, liquorice, biscuits, conserves, fresh oysters and wines and spirits. Then the gardeners world side was full of amazing and different, plants and flowers along with hot tubs (yes please), greenhouses, garden ornaments, pots and lots of information with regards to conservation of wildlife in the garden and also wild flowers.

I have taken a few pictures of all of the wonders stalls I went to visit, so enjoy.
