When will this weather change. This winter seems to be so long, cold, windy and just down right miserable. Snowdrops and bulbs are beginning to peep through and you can feel a change of air and the hope and anticipation that Spring is on the way.

I love the Spring. Saying that I do enjoy all of our seasons, even though Winter has quite clearly out stayed its welcome. My birthdays coming up and so is the change of the tick tock clocks, I can never remember, is it forward or back? Brighter evenings finally. In so many ways this changes what I get up to of an evening. Instead of just playing in the kitchen or writing, I can start to prepare my greenhouse and pots.

This year I hope to grow lots of peppers as I just love them along with a few tomatoes, a courgette plant and have a look at and maintain my quaint herb garden.

Gloves on at the ready, I am a gardener, the type that has no idea and keeps weeds because they look pretty and pulls out plants. Lets just say I try, or my husband would say I’m very trying!!

The Spring brings with it lots of exciting classes into my kitchen, from Spring risotto to sausage making and pizza and pasta classes. Hopefully crack on with my book with the aid of inspiration from my humble garden. So not long to wait now, not many sleeps to go. Here’s to seeing the season of Spring and lighter evenings very soon.
