I just wanted to share with you all, the most beautiful and tasty cakes that I had the pleasure of sharing the other afternoon. A quintessentially English afternoon spent with a wonderful group of ladies from our Northampton ‘Clandestine Cake Club’.
Sipping tea from china cups and saucers. Tea pots with fabulous woollen tea cosies, and tea stainer’s with English leaf tea, I felt a little posh as my tea normally comes in the form of a teabag. The setting was also fabulous ‘Wakefield Rural Centre, tea rooms. I will definitely be visiting here again as I did not have time to nip into the deli!!
The cakes varied from coca cola, rum cake, coffee and walnut cake to chocolate and raspberry cake, Kentucky nut cake, almond and raspberry ring and also coconut lime and banana cake. So many more too. I think we had 14 in total!! Wow I know. A crazy amount of cakes. I managed 5 small slices and also bought a few samples home too. I really look forward to meeting more fabulous ladies, eating and trying more flavour toppings and cake creations as well as drinking an obscene amount of tea.
