Today the raining is coming down and it does not look like it is going to stop! I have so much work to get on with, but in the same breath, I need a little escape too, me time.
My children have gone back to school today after a wonderful half term break. But I am not kidding anyone. I’m shattered. Trying to fit everything in, looking after my children and entertaining them, keeping my house tidy, washing and ironing up to date, my blog, preparing for my radio shows, my chiropody work and not forgetting my husband. That’s why I’m escaping today for an hour!

In Northampton I generally head off to my favourite kitchen shop ‘Abraxas’. The store has been open now for an amazing 5 years already. I mill about in there for what feels like hours. Helen Standing the manager and her wonderful team of lovely ladies are so welcoming and helpful. I love it. I normally walk in and always get asked about my children, and how I am. I then wonder, if I need any help, I know that I just need to holler! From a simple spatula to beautiful china. From a plastic colander to a top of the range Kitchenaid mixer.

My pictures really do not justify the beauty of this shop. It has an amazing range of tins and bake ware, cupcake accessories, bowls, jam jars, china, cutlery and not forgetting Emma Bridgewater and Le Creuset.
This is where my Christmas list is based. So a note to ones self. Come to Northampton for a wonder around our lovely kitchen shop, and if I ever go missing you now know where I will be hiding!
