Carmela’s Kitchen – Supper Club

Supper club in collaboration with Northampton Museum and Art Gallery

Carmela runs delicious supper clubs with evenings sponsored by Fillipo Berio extra virgin olive oil, held from the county of Northamptonshire.  Carmela cooks her authentic food with a passion and understanding of the cucina povera traditions from the south of Italy. A simple and delicious style of cooking whilst using seasonal produce of fruit, vegetables, fish, meat and game.

Join us for an exclusive Italian Supper Club run by Italian food writer and cookery tutor Carmela Sereno Hayes and sponsored by the leading olive oil company Filippo Berio.
You will enjoy a four course Italian dinner made specifically for you together with a welcome drink, served in the stunning surroundings of the museum’s link space.
Carmela cooks authentic food with passion echoing the cucina povera tradition of cooking. A simple and delicious style of cooking which uses seasonal produce where possible.

Antipasti  –  Starter

Aubergine Polpette -Golden aubergine bites, lightly crisped and served atop a velvety tomato sugo — a rustic yet elegant introduction to the flavours of Southern Italy.

Please pre-book the vegetarian option prior to the event with the Museum directly, in order to secure your dining choices.

Primo –  First course

Sage Cavatelli Pasta – Handcrafted cavatelli tossed in aromatic sage butter, paired with roasted pumpkin and a delicate crumble of amaretti biscuits — a comforting and unexpected harmony of textures and tastes.

Secondo – Main Course

Pork Ciambotta Stew – A hearty, slow-cooked stew of tender pork and seasonal vegetables, served with rustic bread to soak up the rich, savoury broth.

Vegetarian Option: a vibrant vegetable ciambotta, brimming with autumnal produce and herbs, served with rustic bread — equally warming and satisfying.

Dolce –  Dessert

Classic Tiramisu – Layers of espresso-soaked savoiardi, whipped mascarpone, and a dusting of cocoa — the quintessential Italian dessert, indulgent and timeless.

Coffee

Finish with freshly brewed Italian coffee, served alongside crisp biscotti and a splash of Marsala — a sweet and spirited end to your evening.

Carmela prepares all food from her family kitchen that has received a 5 star environmental health rating dated January 2022.
