Our Northamptonshire Clandestine Cake Club this month was dedicated to the wonderful ‘Fairtrade’ Ndali vanilla and a wonderful tearful talk was given by Vanessa Kimbell, on the importance of supporting ‘Fairtrade’. The cakes varied from my autumn apple and vanilla cake to rhubarb, custard and vanilla, chocolate and vanilla, raspberry and vanilla, lemon and vanilla and so so many more.

It is truly a wonderful evening of chitter chatter, lots of tea drinking and an absurd amount of cake too! What could be better than spending an evening with like minded ladies (not forgetting wonderful Mark). I look forward to our next meet in October. The theme is using a vegetable in a cake? What would you make?
